Cillian joined the firm in September 2022 and for two months, worked on the ground in Brazil with individuals affected by the Mariana Dam collapse. During this time, he met with community members, politicians, and Brazilian lawyers.

He also took part in a number of meetings with local municipalities and state officials. These interactions gave him an insight and key understanding into the devastating effects that the dam collapse has caused to the communities along the Rio Doce river.
