Juliana graduated from the Federal University of Parana with a PhD in Law, focusing on civil procedure. Her thesis concerned the use of class actions in Brazil to curtail illegal public policies. She also holds an LLM from Yale Law School.  

Prior to joining Pogust Goodhead in 2023, Juliana was an associate at the international arbitration practice of a large American firm, working from the Paris office, where she worked on complex international commercial and investment arbitrations. In the five years she worked at this firm, Juliana acted as counsel and tribunal secretary in disputes covering a range of industries including mining, energy and construction.  She was also actively involved in the firm’s pro bono practice, focusing on gender equality, reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights.
