Jessica is a Senior Associate in the international litigation team in London. She is an Australian qualified solicitor. Jessica works on the Munícipio de Mariana and Ors v BHP Group case in which Pogust Goodhead represents over 700,000 Brazilian claimants in proceedings in the largest opt-in class action lawsuit in English legal history related to the collapse of the Fundão Dam, which caused the worst environmental disaster in Brazilian history.

Jessica holds a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School where she received the Morgan and Helen Chu Prize for graduating with the highest grade point average (shared). She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class honors) and Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University where she graduated with numerous prizes.

Prior to joining Pogust Goodhead, Jessica was an Assistant Director in the International Law Branch of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She was previously a Solicitor Advocate representing Aboriginal children and adults in remote Australia, and the Judicial Assistant and Research Director to the Chief Justice of New South Wales. She has taught litigation and dispute management and human rights law at the Australian National University.

Jessica has a strong interest in human rights, corporate accountability and access to justice, in particular for Aboriginal communities.
