Leila graduated with a first-class joint-honours LLB in Law & Business and was awarded a scholarship to study the BPTC. After successfully completing pupillage, she accepted tenancy at a leading London Chambers. Her early practice focused on white-collar crime, with particular expertise in business crime, fraud, and contentious regulatory matters, advising clients in complex investigations and prosecutions. She also acted in protest and human rights cases, as well as serious gang violence matters — gaining substantial advocacy experience across the English Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.

At Pogust Goodhead, Leila is a LATAM operations lead with a particular focus on environmental disasters and mass claims arising from Peru. She is highly engaged in advancing legal operations, with a particular expertise in cross border efforts involving Peru and the Netherlands driving compliance, scalability, and automation in mass torts.
