The passing of Partner and friend, Ian Berg

October 31, 2023

It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the death of Partner Ian Berg.

Ian passed away on Friday 27 October 2023 from complications of cancer he began fighting during his time at our firm. Ian has been a valued member of our team since 2021 and will be sorely missed.

Ian was based in our U.S. headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, where he led our U.S. Securities Litigation department. Over the course of his career, Ian successfully represented institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals in securities litigation across the country, recovering billions of dollars for those harmed by securities fraud.

Harris Pogust, Founding Partner and Chairman of Pogust Goodhead, said: “I can’t say enough about the pleasure and honor Ian gave all of us by being able to hang with him, watch his fighting spirit and his amazing legal skills which he more than willingly imparted upon the younger lawyers in the office.  The legal world not only lost one of the best lawyers ever to step into a courtroom but lost one of the greatest people to step on this planet. We will miss you tremendously my brother.”

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Jessie Rees Foundation for children fighting cancer.
