Sorry, I don’t speak legalese: Compensation

What is compensation?

In the context of law, compensation is the money you are awarded by a court for loss, damage or suffering.

The amount of money you can receive depends on a number of factors, including:

  • The length of time you suffered
  • The impact it had on your life
  • How you may be impacted in the future.

The purpose of compensation for damages tends to be restorative in the UK, to make up for any negative impacts or loss you may have suffered.

When can I be owed compensation?

Compensation may be offered to you for many reasons following a court case, including, but not limited to: injury, corporate deceit or medical product liability.

The length of time it takes for you to receive your rightful payment varies greatly.

The law firm you engage is responsible for trying to get you the most compensation to help you seek justice. It is, therefore, important to choose a law firm with a good reputation, legal expertise, and lawyers who really care about the cases they are working on.

Compensation at our firm

At our firm, one of our main aims when fighting for justice is to make sure the victims receive money from large corporations for wrongdoing. We are passionate about every case we take on and truly believe our clients deserve compensation.

In our diesel emissions claims, our clients have had to suffer increased fuel costs, lower quality vehicle performance and higher maintenance bills.

To make up for the inconvenience and for the deceit, we are aiming to claim back up to the cost of the vehicle for each claimant.

While this money doesn’t make up for the damage that was caused, it will cover the costs that the victims suffered and give a little back to them to help protect them from future corporation deceit.
