Catherine Quarini is Medico-Legal Director at Pogust Goodhead. She advises on medical and medicolegal issues across the portfolio of cases. This encompasses identifying the key health issues affecting individuals and populations, assessing the relevant medical and scientific literature, as well as advising on medical aspects of the cases.
Catherine qualified as a doctor from Oxford University in 2007. She then worked in a variety of medical specialties including hospital medicine, general practice and psychiatry. She is also interested in epidemiology and health policy, so specialised in public health alongside clinical work, achieving membership of the faculty of public health (MFPH) in 2011. Following her interests in the evidence behind medical interventions and research, in 2014 she joined The Lancet Psychiatry as Senior Editor.
Catherine also has a longstanding interest in medical ethics and law, and has several publications in this field. In 2019 she decided to combine her interest in law with her medical knowledge, so she completed the GDL and joined Pogust Goodhead as Medico-Legal Director.
