Alicia Alinia appears on Reasons to be Cheerful podcast with Ed Miliband and Geoff Lloyd

September 22, 2022

Our Partner and COO, Alicia Alinia, is a guest on the Reasons to be Cheerful podcast with Ed Miliband and Geoff Lloyd this week.

The episode focuses on David vs Goliath and those who seek justice from big corporations and organisations.

Alicia discusses corporate misbehaviour and how it is hoped that our case against BHP over the Mariana dam disaster, Brazil’s worst environmental disaster, will bring about change.

She outlines how our Founding Partner, Thomas Goodhead, set up the litigation and the amazing efforts he and the team went to in seeking justice for over 200,000 people.

Alicia charts the ups and downs of the case and explains why we are confident that those affected will finally get the justice they deserve.

Almost seven years on, it is time that BHP to do the right thing, live up to its stated values, and stop delaying the inevitable.
