Abel van Wijk is a civil litigation lawyer based in Amsterdam, specialising in cross-border group litigation.

Abel obtained his Bachelor’s degree in law and Master’s degrees in both Criminal Law and Liability Law at Utrecht University. After this, Abel started his career as a lawyer at a Dutch law firm, working within one of the country’s largest Liability and Insurance Law sections. During this period, he acquired extensive experience in litigation and counselling on a wide range civil law cases. Abel has also dedicated his time to (volunteer) work for various NGOs, focusing on environmental law and human rights.

Abel joined Pogust Goodhead with the aim of utilizing law and litigation as powerful tools to address social and environmental injustices caused by large corporates.
